Do you live in Bordeaux with your dog? Or are you part of these new travelers who take their companion along everywhere like me? Do you want to explore the city with your dog or just spend more time with him? There are a series of articles “Bordeaux dog friendly” with ideas of activities tested and approved by The Tropical Dog! This time, discover the magnificent Majolan Park.
The Majolan park is located on the municipality of Blanquefort, in the North of Bordeaux (see on Google maps). A park of 19 hectares among which a 5-hectare lake! The landscaper Le Breton made this park at the end of the 19th century, in the romantic baroque taste, on a land which was then only a swamp. Rehabilitated and included in the supplementary inventory of Historical Monuments in 2007, Majolan park received the national Prize of the Heritage in 2010. It is labeled “Remarkable Garden” by the Ministry of Culture in France.

A park that is really worth a visit, especially that dogs are allowed! We found the Park Majolan with Shark and Camille in Bordeaux, our photographer of the day. We take you for a walk in this place full of romantic charm!
Ruins, artificial caves, canyons, fountains, many bridges built in various styles… This park full of mystery seems to come out of a fairy tale!

The vegetation is lush: tall trees of all shapes with the most beautiful autumn colors… You can sit on one of the beautiful benches to admire the landscape and listen to the singing birds.
If you get close to the lake, you may see a coypu swimming with dukes and swans.
